Meet the Team

Martin Moran​ - Manager ​Martin Moran is the manager, overseeing all operational activities, income generation, stakeholder engagemment to enable the charity to flourish and adapt to the changing needs of the community we serve.

A qualified and registered social worker, Martin has worked in Health and Social Care for over 20 years holding many senior positions in the both the statutory and charitable sectors, from social work practitioner to director of a large national charity holding a portfolio of services across the UK before joining ICCM in 2017.

Rachel Stout - Team Leader

Rachel has a BA (Hons) in Applied Social Studies in Social Care. Much of Rachel’s career has been involved with working with some of most disadvantaged and isolated people. Rachel moved over from her native Limerick in 2019 where she worked in homeless sector in Brighton and Hove. She previously worked in social care sector in Ireland and worked in residential care services supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and also young people in care.

Margo Gallagher ​- Support Service Officer, ​Margo Gallagher is the Support Services Officer ensuring the administration of the charity runs smoothly. She takes responsibility for data collection and financial management and is the first point of contact for people accessing the many services the charity provides. Margo is originally from Clones in Co. Monaghan.

Zhara Treanor​ - Community Engagement Lead Zhara oversees the over 50`s social groups which run weekly in four different venues across the city. The aim of these groups is to bring people together to help reduce social isolation and loneliness, while promoting health and wellbeing through exercise, dance and community involvement.

Zhara also provides support for the Irish Traveller Community and is a qualified social worker. Zhara is originally from Co. Monaghan.

Patrick Rodgers - Information and Advice Worker

​Patrick has a background in working with homeless people in London and Stockport for over 20 years, including 7 years working with London’s Irish community for Irish Centre Housing. He gained a valuable insight into housing and benefits while carrying out his various roles.​

Carmel O'Connor​ - Information and Advice Worker

Carmel has been an advice worker at ICCM for over fourteen years and has background in charity, careers and housing. Her technical knowledge surrounding welfare benefits claims continues to be a valuable resource for many accessing our services from our Levenshulme office.

Miriam Tenquist - Advocacy and Support Officer

Miriam has a BSc(Hons) in Sociology and MSc in Sociological Research, specialising in social isolation and quality of life in old age. This has given her a background knowledge in public care, service provision and age-friendly policy. She has most recently worked f or the University of Manchester as a fundraising supervisor and global alumni relations intern, giving her a lot of problem solving and communication skills, which she has then used in my personal work with homeless, housing support, and third sector organisations to produce a range of best practice policies.

Francis Duncan - Advocacy and Support Officer

Francis has worked for a number of years within higher education, most recently at Kent University as Campaigns Co-ordinator, where he empowered and supported a wide range of student volunteers to develop their skills and ensure they were supported in order to get the most out of their University experience. Francis also ran campaigns which saw him working with agencies as diverse as homeless charities and the police. A large part of this work involved him trying to reach students who traditionally did not take advantage of the services available to them and working on policies to ensure these students were represented fully within the university.
